A Labour of Love ❤️

Some things come easy and some things are, to be polite, an absolute… task. I remember feeling like this with the launch of our cake counter roughly 18 months ago. It was such an effort to get it over the line. And yet this side of it, what an absolute joy it has been developing relationships with local customers and businesses. We’ve got regulars who now feel closer to friends than customers. Lives we very much care about.
The recent launch of our pudding pots has been another one of those occasions. On the surface, it is so simple. Put layers of (delicious 😉) cake in a pot with buttercream and post it out. But getting it to this point has taken some serious time investment.
We’ve been sending our robust flapjacks, rocky roads, caramel crisp, fudge brownies since the days of Covid, but the issue of how to send our very delicate sponges (egg and gluten free remember!) has been something we’ve wrestled with for sooo long. Obviously, we could send trays of cake out frozen or hire a courier to personally and hopefully carefully deliver, but the cost of doing that is ridiculous and has always been prohibitive for the consumption needs of the average cake lover.
And that’s why I'm so pleased. So, so pleased to finally be able to offer Big Fat Slab Pudding Pots. Like a Big Fat Slab but squashed into a pot for you to spoon out after dinner, or while watching the TV and then put back in the fridge when you’ve had your fill. Each pot is roughly 2-3 servings and can last in the fridge up to a week perfect for a little indulgence.
So simple. So satisfying. And so relieved to finally have this on the market.
All Vegan. No Gluten. No Nuts. Cake for Everyone and now, for once, available EVERYWHERE.
Have you tried our Pudding Pots? What flavour would you like to pudding on next?
